Azerbaijan lies between Russia and Iran on the Caspian Sea, and was once part of the Soviet Union. While Christian work is opposed in the country, the Azeri Church has emerged within the last two decades and is growing. In 1991, there were 40 Christians. Now there are around 3,000.
