The Bahamas is an archipelago of 700 coral islands between Florida and Cuba.  Only forty are inhabited.  Bahamians are known for their vibrant colors and music.  I saw the junkanoo parade when I was there and it was one of my favorite travel memories.  I love seeing people celebrate life and music and using their creative God-given talents.

Bahamians have a strong Christian legacy, the public faith of many leaders, and a unifying Christian Council of the churches.  Pray that God’s work will continue on the island, and that they will reach out to the younger generations who are beginning to feel isolated from traditional church culture.
