Mali is a landlocked country in the Sahara Desert of Africa.  The land is susceptible to droughts and locust plagues, and the Sahara Desert is quickly becoming a transportation route for drugs going from South America into Europe.  It is one of the poorest nations on earth which makes it vulnerable to the drug trade.  There are very few evangelicals, Christian training or schools in the mostly moderate Islam state.  Media ministry is crucial in this culture where literacy rate could be as low as 15%.  Christian radio, tv, and the Jesus film are great ways to reach the people.  Pray these resources will be available to the people.
