The Holy One of Israel is the main title for God used by the prophet Isaiah. It is mentioned 25 times in book of Isaiah, but rarely mentioned elsewhere in the Bible. However, the concept of God’s Holiness is mentioned throughout the Bible. This is what the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says… I am Yahweh, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King. In a time where everything is instant and temporary, the thought of everlasting is almost forgotten. But it is still there, in eternity.  Isaiah 9:6 names Jesus as the Everlasting Father. This is an eternal father (protector, provider, creator) who has no end. Many earthly fathers may have failed to provide or protect, but Jesus promises to be a father who never leaves us. Isaiah further explains the everlasting in the next verse. The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end.
